Tree Browse display filter by Hierarchical Relationship TypeUser may now set a filter on the Tree Browse to show only those hierarchical structures formed by specified relationship types.
Enhancements to the Hierarchical Report- A new feature provides the ability to select and concatenate multiple Descriptor Elements to substitute for standard displayed descriptor within the results.
- We have added an option to the Hierarchical Report to filter results by “Approval Status.”
- The Hierarchical Report relationship filter provides the means to limit output based on hierarchical relationship type (ie. BT/NT or mBT/mNT relationship classes).
- One may now expand and collapse results in the HTML output of the Hierarchical Report similar to the standard Tree Browse functionality.
- Now, one may include term Sub-elements in XML output from this report.
Include relationships with Term Copy featureThis expansion of the Term Copy functionality copies any valid relationship present on theoriginating term, and transfers them to the copied term. When the “Copy” button is clicked on the Item Summary screen, and relationships exist for a term, a Javascript alert will display offering the option to also copy relationships.
When the “Add Item” button is clicked on the following screen after any desired changes have been made, the new term will be created and the system will attempt to create all relationships from the originating term. An exception will be displayed for any relationship that cannot be created for any reason.
Multiple Descriptor Elements concatenation orderingThis feature adds the ability to select multiple Descriptor Elements and their concatenation order to replace the display of standard Term Descriptors in multiple locations throughout the Synaptica interface.
Enhancements to MyViews- MyViews Multiple Descriptor Elements substitution and ordering: This tool adds the ability to select multiple Descriptor Elements and their concatenation order to replace display of standard Term Descriptors in the Synaptica MyViews display interface.
- MyViews Expanded Results option: A new feature now allows for a MyViews user to expand simple list results from the Keyword Search or Alphabetical Browse to view all Sub-elements and relationships for the displayed terms. The expanded results may then be saved in a Microsoft Word readable file.
- Direct Term Summary page access in MyViews: A URL will now be dynamically generated for each Term Summary page displayed through MyViews. This may be used to access the Term Summary page for that specific term, without having to navigate to find the specific term in MyViews.
- Hyperlink display in MyViews Expanded Results: Wherever the URL Data Entry Rule is applied to a sub-element for a term displayed in MyViews, that link will now display as a hyperlink and open in a new browser window.
- Activity tracking for MyViews usage: Data may be optionally collected for Keyword Searches, Tree Browse, and Alphabetical Browse including: Number of search results, Search text entered, Object Class searched, Type of search (Smart, Begins, etc.), and date and time of search. This information is stored in a Synaptica Object Class where it may be searched or reported on just as any other Object Class.
Enhancements to the Indexing Management System (IMS)- IMS Multiple Descriptor Elements substitution and ordering: This feature adds the ability to select multiple Descriptor Elements and their concatenation order to replace the display of standard Term Descriptors in the Synaptica IMS indexer term select interface.
- IMS converted to use ASP.NET technology: The programming language for Synaptica IMS has been converted in its entirety to ASP.NET from classic ASP for enhanced performance and ease of integration with Document and Content Management Systems.
- Hyperlink display in IMS Term Summary: Wherever the URL Data Entry Rule is applied to a sub-element for a term displayed in the IMS interface, that link will now be shown as a hyperlink and open in a new browser window.
- IMS output available in XML format: Synaptica has expanded the range of formats available from IMS to include XML. This XML output is capable of including additional layers of information previously not available in our standard output format, such as hierarchical levels and Sub-element values.
